The Alliance Episode Summary
"The Alliance" is the fourth episode of the first season of The Office (U.S. version). airing on April 12, 2005. Because of the downsizing rumors at the Scranton Branch Office, Dwight forms an alliance with Jim in order to increase their chance of retaining their jobs at Dunder-Mifflin. Dwight is very serious about the alliance, while Jim uses this as an opportunity to play with Dwight's head.
This is a very funny episode! Why? Michael Scott tries to boost morale of his office by holding a birthday party for Meridith, one month in advance. However, Michael delivers several offensive, but hilarious birthday jokes / punchlines to Meridith. Also, Michael donates money to Oscar's nephew's walk-a-thon charity, but later finds out that the donation was on a per mile basis. Lol!
