The Fire Episode Summary
"The Fire " was the fourth episode of the second season airing on October 11, 2005. In this episode, a fire breaks out in Dunder Mifflin's Scranton Branch, and Dwight Schrute takes a very exaggerated extra precaution to get everyone out of The Office safely. You can even say that Dwight Schrute saves Kelly's life. All of the office employees are hanging outside while the fire department comes to handle the situation. While they are all outside, they play social games such as Desert Island (What 3 books would you break to a deserted island) all the way to.. "who would you have sex with?" (I'm going to let you watch this for yourself!). Michael Scott and Ryan end up talking about business school.. Ryan is studying to goto business school and teaches Michael Scott a few things. Dwight feels left out and takes out his anger.. (I'll let you watch that for yourself too!) At the end of the episode, Dwight Schrute ends up going into the flaming building to rescue Michael Scott's cell phone (which happens to be in his pocket).. and comes out out of breath discovering that Ryan started the fire. Yes! Ryan started the fire - he left something in the toaster oven and it started a fire. Dwight Schrute and Michael Scott end up singing a song "Ryan started the fire".
