Halloween Episode Summary
"Halloween" was the fifth episode of the second season airing on October 18, 2005. In this episode, Michael Scott must lay off an employee and report who he lets go to Jan at Dunder-Mifflin corporate. However, he keeps putting this off until the end of the day as he asks various employees who they would hypothetically fire.
Jim and Pam play a prank on Dwight Schrute by posting his resume online, and pretending to be Michael Scott, praising Dwight. Cumberland Mills sets up an interview with Dwight Schrute, but is soon reject after arguing about martial arts skills. Pam tells Jim that he should interview for the job, but Jim takes offense thinking that Pam doesnt want him to work with her anymore.
At the end of the episode, Michael Scott finally fires Devon, after failing to fire Pam, Stanley, and Creed. Devon smashes Michael Scott's car with a pumpkin.
