The Convention Episode Summary
The Convention is the second episode of the third season of The Office (U.S. version). Dwight Schrute and Michael Scott hit up a paper convention and run into Jim Halpert and Josh (Jim's Stamford boss). Michael tries to be the cool at the convention by hosting a hotel room party. His hotel party room is stocked with booze, techno music, strobe lights, and a lack of people. Michael gets jealous of Josh, but Jim assures Michael that he only left because of Pam, and joins Michael's empty party. In the episode, Jim gets to hear Pam over the phone for a little while (he has that sorta look on his face), but then she goes out on a date with a comic strip artist. In the episode, they have a paper airplane contest (it is a paper convention afterall). If I have a booth at a convention, I'll have a stapler in jello contest!
