The Coup Episode Summary
The Coup is the third episode of the third season of The Office (U.S. version). Why is this episode so good? First of all, the other branch plays Call of Duty during work, and Jim is completely clueless at video games, while Karen continues to frag the n00b (Jim) in many humiliating ways! Plus Jim's team gets made at him for sucking and Andy is so into it that he says "I'll kill you for real!" Anyhoo, at the Scranton branch, Dwight goes behind Michael's back and tries to take his regional manager position. Knowing of Dwight Schrute's attempted coup, Michael Scott tells Dwight Schrute that he should be expecting a call from Corporate to take over as Regional Manager. Angela Martin is the only one to congratulate Dwight and is later offered to be in charge of the female staff. Michael Scott eventually reveals that he knew of Dwight's betrayal. Dwight Schrute begs for his job and for Michael's forgiveness, offering to do his laundry for a year. Michael Scott relents and offers to "Hug it out, bitch." Dwight returns quickly to being Michael's loyal right-hand man. Michael, still harboring resentment towards Dwight, forces him to stand on top of a box with a "LIAR" sign from his neck. How can I get that LIAR sign in jello?
